There are so many ways that I enjoy a good tuna. I have made so many varieties tuna recipes and it is my all time favorite seafood. This idea was an accident as I had avocados that needed to be used. This ahi tuna poke in avocado was just a different spin on tuna with avocado I had made before. Simple, quick, healthy and ready on 5-min.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz sushi grade tuna cut into small 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 avocado cut in half, pit removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh minced ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon wasabi powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 green onion sliced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • lime zest for garnish
  • Black sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. Using a glass bowl combine tuna, cilantro, ginger, onion, wasabi powder and lime juice and gently fold
  • 2. In a small glass dish combine soy sauce, lime juice and soy sauce and stir
  • 3. Add the liquid to the tuna and gently fold
  • 4. Divide the tuna in half placing each half in the avocado, garish with lime zest and sesame seeds
