This old-fashioned “gravy” recipe (as the northeastern Italians call it) is kicked up with three kinds of pepper and a dash of Emeril’s Kick It Up Red Sauce. The combination of tomatoes, onions and Italian seasonings enhance the intense, savory flavor. Serve over pasta with peeled shrimp or use as a garnish on meat dishes.
