I’ve never been a huge dessert fan until I had tiramisu. Words simply cannot explain the euphoria that overcomes me the moment I even hear the word. It’s like a kid seeing an ice cream truck, I go crazy. There have been countless attempts to make this tantalizing dessert but with many failures I finially can say I’ve created a tiramisu recipe that I am very proud to share with all my food lover friends.

I’ve seldom turned down a tiramisu no matter where I’m at. I have had it all over Italy, countless restaurants in the United States and I am amazed just how bad some have actually been. There are many versions and for me this is mine and I am happy you are here to check it out and I hope you enjoy it. It will bring you pleasure beyond your belief and that is why I call it…The Social Chefs Orgasmic Tiramisu. Indulge at your own pleasure.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 1/4 cups espresso
  • 1lb marscapone cheese
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 2 tablespoons confectionary sugar
  • semi bitter sweet chocolate to shave on top
  • cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Lady fingers

Instructions

  • 1. Combine espresso, brandy and sugar into a large bowl and stir until sugar dissolves. Let cool 30 min to room temperature or refrigerate and reserve 1/3 cup
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl combine heaving whipping cream, vanilla, confectionary sugar, egg yolks mix until creamy then add 1/3 reserved coffee mixture. Mix in marscapone cheese 1-2 minutes
  • 3. Take a baking pan approximately 9x13 and with remaining coffee mixture at room temperature dunk lady fingers in quickly, enough to soak but not fall apart
  • 4. Layer bottom of pan with lady fingers and pour marscapone mixture over lady fingers
  • 5. Sprinkle cocoa and shave some chocolate over mixture
  • 6. Repeat 3, 4, and 5 on top of first layer
  • 7. Make sure to cover and refrigerate and leave sit for 12-24 hours
