This seared ahi tuna with creamy Srirach sauce was a pure accident. Made seared ahi tuna coated in black sesame seeds in a traditional way and after I took some photos for my recipe blog I realized, I wanted a kick…something different…something out of the ordinary. So I made tuna with sriracha and ginger…it was fantastic! When most people think of seafood they usually think shrimp, lobster, crab, salmon and a few others. But for me when I think seafood my mind always races to tuna. For this food lover there is no seafood I love more than tuna. Tuna tartare, seared tuna, Mediterranean Tuna with capers, tuna sashimi…heck…I even like a tuna salad sandwich. If I go to a good restaurant and they have tuna, there is a 70% chance I am having tuna and if it’s on the appetizer menu there is a 90% chance I’m having tuna. If you like sashimi or sushi you will love my seared ahi tuna with creamy Sriracha sauce…a must try.
